The nose is impressive and clearly shows the use of sweet aromatic oak, the oak however is not overpowering with the plum and blackberry fruit holding it's own.
The palate is rich with blackberry, plum and Christmas cake flavours all in abundance. The considerable power on the palate is matched by the balanced acidity and mouth coating tannins on the mid to back palate.
