2017 Heartland Cabernet Sauvignon

I can't get over the value that comes across in the wines produced by Heartland. This Cabernet is varietal in terms of cassis, leather and cocoa like spice, but has a richness that is characteristic of the Heartland style.

The palate has swathes of dark berry fruits, but a backdrop of drying and savoury tannin that is part oak and part fruit derived. The influence of oak is unmistakable on the back palate with a spiced and savoury impact with the fruit to carry it.
