A nose of bramble and blackberry with notes of coffee and bitter dark chocolate. The wine is defined by its structure with unsweetened licorice strap combining with a core of drying tannins that have dense but attractive black fruits providing contrast. The concentration of fruit is met in equal measure by oak, with the finish showing a savoury edge to blackberry. Has the attributes to cellar well.
