This is a wine that provides incredible value, a top tier expression of Australian Chardonnay at a retail of $30.
The nose enjoys the trappings of time on lees and new oak with fig, almond meal and flint like spice that is surrounded by stone fruits.
The palate has lovely flow and balance with citrus acidity that gives dimension to richer oak induced characters and punchy nectarine fruit. There is a nuttiness to finish that completes the picture.
The wine will continue to develop over the short term but in a great spot now.
