Impressive value here, a Margaret River Cabernet with immediate regional and varietal appeal for under $25. It is hard to go wrong.
The wine is a glossy and youthful red as you would expect as such a young release, with a nose of dense blackberry that is etched with bitter dark chocolate, fresh herbs and sweeter spice. There is a flowing baseline of acidity and tannin that works well with drying black fruits, a continuation of the dark chocolate and herb notes seen on the nose combine with some savoury flare to finish.
