A glossy dark red in the glass, the nose is varietal with drying blackberry alongside a touch of graphite with some alcohol warmth. There is an initial plushness of blackberry and mulberry fruit, however across the palate the wine becomes firmer and more graphite and earthen in it's structure with less fruit influence. The finish is drying and laden with cocoa and blackberry, will soften with a few years in bottle.
