A bigger wine coming from the warm 2016 vintage. The nose has dark cherry and rhubarb fruit, but carries a touch of alcohol warmth. A generous and mouth filling wine with concentration of dark cherry and strawberry fruit, gentle spice and chocolate notes coat the mouth. Tannins are supple and acidity is flowing which gives nice contrast on the mid palate before more grainy and earthen grip to finish. Will enjoy short term cellaring.
