Produced from bush vine Grenache grown on ironstone gravelly sand, a unique feature of the Yangarra vineyards. The wine was aged in tank and oak with lees stirring monthly until bottling in July 2019.
Very pale with the slightest pink to orange hue, showing the gentle hand that is the hallmark of Yangarra. Fresh flowers meet red cherry and understated creamy tones afforded from time on lees. There is a moreishness to this wine, due mainly to the baseline of citrus acidity that gives focus and a platform for red apple and cherry fruit. There is a crunchiness to the wine that will make it great with food now, but with the pH of the wine nearing sparkling base the tip here would be to see what it does over a few years. Not something i would often say about Rose !
