This is a style of Grenache I really enjoy, it treads the tightrope between a pretty wine, and one that has structure and potential to evolve over time. The subtle nuances are no doubt due to wild ferment, time on skins and a good proportion of whole bunch.
A medium red in colour with floral red cherry, cool savoury spice and bramble. A pretty wine, yet serious with texture and balance, red cherry is bright with wild strawberry and a build of superfine tannins that have a faint cocoa edge, fruit is at the core, generous and pure with earthen notes to finish.
