A vibrant dark red in colour, the nose has subtle plum and pencil shavings. The wine on entry is full of fleshy plum and blackberry fruit that is complemented by dark chocolate characters. The wine does lose it's way across the back palate and finish, lacking complexity and textural contrasts between tannin, acid, oak and fruit.
