Aged for close to a decade before release.
The colour is quite remarkable with a slight purple hue maintained by the wines; there is a nose of black olive, leather and cigar box with a melange of dark berry fruits.
Lovely persistence of fruit with blackcurrant coursing through the wine, tannins are supple and take on a touch of milk chocolate and a subtle vanillin weave gives some richness to the drying finish.
In a wonderful place now and will live for another decade at least.
