Ah Merlot, the modern day pariah of Australian Wine ! This is a good example of the variety that will have many fans. It's rich, imminently approachable and good value to boot!
A medium red hue, the nose shows fresh raspberry jam, with the palate continuing with the vibrant fruit but in more of the plum spectrum. Oak provides some gentle spice and tannins have enough grip to ensure balance in what is a full bodied wine.
The finish shows a touch of alcohol warmth amongst a sea of blue and black fruits.
