An enjoyable nose of plum and red cherry with a savoury edge. The wine has excellent texture and structure with a violet and graphite backdrop to savoury edged plum fruit. I tend to like the name of the wine because it is representative of what it is. A well made Merlot with texture, drive, a mid palate and none of the cloying sweetness that you can often see from Australian producers.
