The wine has an almost purple hue to it as you pour, which leads you to expect a vibrant, fresh and punchy wine and that is exactly what you get.
The nose sees violets, cherry and baking herbs lead the way before the palate builds around beautifully supple black cherry and raspberry fruit that moves into more of a milk chocolate and earthen mode. The finish is a drying and concentrated expression of black cherry, with an understated textural pull and savoury nuance. Excellent length.
