Mataro is not always bottled as a single varietal wine, but this is a very good example. This rendition has expansive aromatics of plum and raspberry with a vanillin and unsweetened liquorice note. The wine is full bodied with generous dark fruits that coat the mouth, acidity is flowing and tannins do well to give balance without accentuating the fruit and oak influence. The finish is long and dripping in dark berry fruits and spice.
