The Mataro gives a sullen and savoury side, and when combined with Shiraz gives a touch of olive and earth, Grenache gives some faint spice. The wine is full bodied with a generous suppleness of dark berry fruits that tend to plum and black cherry; tannins have a ferrous thread with some faint chocolate and the length to finish is significant.
