A vibrant deep red with purple hues, the nose has ripe plum and cherry fruit with a touch of violets and bracken. The palate is unashamedly full bodied with concentrated red and black fruits that fill the mouth and have a spiced note from fruit as opposed to oak. A touch of bitter cherry pip and some warmth to finish. The finish is long, drying and fruit driven.
Not a variety you often see on its own and the variety doesn't have the complexity of some others, but this is very well made and enjoyable.
