A touch reductive opening up, but with time shows an earthen expression of plum and cherry fruits. The palate is balanced and has good flow from start to finish, the core is dark cherry with understated spice and drying tannins providing the counterpoints. The finish is long and it is the fruit and spice laden tannins that take hold, drinking well now and will really reward a few years.
