2013 Jones Road Pinot Noir

Jones Road have been slowly building over the last few years with each release, the vineyard was established in 1997 with Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris the primary focus. The 2013 Pinot Noir is a very good release with great aromatics and mouthfeel that in part come from some considered wine making with a wild yeast whole berry ferment and the wine being left on partial lees for the majority of it's life prior to bottling.

On the nose there is sappy and spicy french oak with deep red cherry and rhubarb notes, the palate gives presence with varietal red berries and background savoury notes, tannins are grippy but fine and supporting acidity gives the wine great dimensions.
