2021 Crittenden The Zumma Pinot Noir

The grapes come from the families oldest plantings at Crittenden Estate with less than 4000 bottles produced. The wine was fermented using wild yeast and bottled without fining or filtration.

A pretty light to medium red in colour with lovely clarity. The nose has punchy red cherry with a pull of cranberry, rhubarb and brown spice. The palate has focus and drive with piercingly pure red cherry fruit that works amongst a lattice of finely textured acidity and tannin. The finish has sour edged cherry with a thread of cardamom and clove.
