Very deep red in colour, the nose is a muted leathery expression of plum.
The palate shows dense but somewhat one dimensional stewed cherry and plum fruit, with creamy oak distracting from the fruit and acid structure of the wine; the tannins are earthy and the wine finishes with olive and slightly raisin, but spicy fruit.
