There is a lot to like about this wine, with seductive vanilla and spice notes from the oak combining with savoury edged black cherry on the nose.
The palate gives a smokey, earthen aspect to dark berry fruits, with oak providing a veneer of richness and continuity against the drying and textural baseline. The finish has bitter dark cherry and shows varietal appeal.
