The 04 Shiraz Cabernet has a fully mature nose that is starting to develop secondary meat and leather aromatics alongside dusty plum fruit. The fruit on the palate is fading, but the fully resolved tannins, suggestion of old leather and damp earth notes provide interest, but the wine doesn't have the drive or vibrance to hold attention when compared to the current releases from Pierro.
