The Cantare is a blend of Shiraz and Sangiovese, with Cantare Italian for singing.
The blend works really well with the wine undeniably savoury, but showing attractive fruit and oak when things get too serious.
The nose provides plum, dark cherry, earth and a dusting of spice. The palate is framed by dark cherry with crunchy tannins and juicy acidity affording the wine great texture before giving way to a finish that has driving black fruits and a touch of tar that is met in equal measure by oak spice.
A really interesting blend that works well with food now and will be very good in years to come.
