Known as the Grenache experts, Willunga 100 do a great Shiraz Viognier that is a bargain at $25.
A dark red with purple hues towards the rim, the nose is steeped in plum and dark chocolate with a touch of liquorice all sorts and a floral lift from the inclusion of Viognier.
There is a suppleness to plum fruit on the palate with oak giving richness and is a great juxtaposition to fine but distinctively earthen tannins. Milk chocolate melds with dark fruits to finish with generous length.
