A wonderful opportunity to taste a museum release of Huntington Estate at 13 years old.
The nose shows density of plum fruit and a briny, sandalwood like spice that evolves nicely with time in the glass.
The palate has developed some lovely secondary notes of fresh earth and old leather that sits side by side with baked plum and rhubarb like fruit. The tannin and acidity have held up well, giving contrast to the wines more developed and mature notes. Drying dark berry fruits to finish with integrated spice.
