2019 Quartz Hill Syrah

The aromatics on the nose give an instant indication as to why the wine was labelled as a 'Syrah' with a savoury, green herb laced expression of fruit that is lifted by floral oak derived spice. The palate has roasted meats and understated spice to sullen plum and black cherry fruit, tannins and acidity are firm but so fine and well balanced with fruit, giving good texture. The finish sees a touch of brine to cured meats and lingering plum and earth.
