As the name suggests the vines from which the grapes are grown and the wine was made were planted all the way back in 1905, a treasure of the Barossa.
An inky red in colour with brooding black fruits, bitumen, earth and dark chocolate on the nose. The palate is built on grainy, savoury tannins and a faint maltiness. Plum and black cherry are intertwined with mocha oak that coats the mouth. The concentration to finish is quite remarkable. It's big, bold and impressive.
