Only a touch over 750 bottles produced, a medium red hue with good clarity in the glass. The nose is quite savoury with dusty bitter dark chocolate and cherry pith. The palate is initially reticent but starts to open with time, showing drying plum and cherry fruit with a faint suggestion of spice; the finish has a tannic grip. A couple of years in bottle will really help the wine unfurl.
