The wine is produced from a single Shiraz clone from the Ironstone Road Vineyard, and as always shows a more European texture, whilst maintaining the vibrance of fruit Australia is know.
A nose of cured meats, liquorice and sage that is backed by deeply set plum fruit. There is a richness to the wine from vanillin oak and a continuation of the sage and mint like character on the palate, with flowing tannins that are laced with earth and spice. Fruit tends to black, with generosity and drive to finish.
