The nose gives generous dark berry fruit that is etched with savoury character and some sweeter spice. The palate is medium bodied and the wine is attractive with the influence of new oak giving brown spice and vanilla to raspberry and plum fruit, even though oak is the star there is just enough earthy characters to provide contrast and ensure plenty of enjoyment over the short to medium term.
