2021 Clandestine Vineyards Tempranillo Rose

The Tempranillo grapes were sourced from Geographe in WA from a 25 year old vineyard, with the wine a timely reminder of what a good stablemate Tempranillo is for rose. It balances generous primary fruits and a savouriness that is both textural and moreish.

A light salmon hue in colour, with a nose that has a floral red cherry and strawberry disposition. The palate has flowing acidity, but there is an underlying suppleness and generosity. A touch of winter herbs is there if you look hard, but is more or less an embellishment that adds interest to the mid palate.

The finish is long with equal part citrus and red fruit influence.
