The quality and value of Australian sparkling has never been better, at times Adelaide Hills isn't looked to as the home of the style however releases like this show how good Blanc de Blanc in particular can be.
The wine enjoyed five years on lees prior to disgorgement, and gives a light to golden yellow in colour. Aromatics are as you would expect with brioche, flint and nougat having equal impact alongside taut nectarine fruit. The palate has a lovely, rolling richness that is held in balance by a taut backbone of mineral citrus acidity.
The finish is long, fruit driven and enjoys embellishments of flint and lees induced complexity.
