A light yellow with some green hues in the glass. The influence of new oak is immediately evident on the nose with flint and vanillin spice sitting alongside fig and stone fruits. The oak continues to lead the way on the palate, and its quality provides interest however there is just not enough depth of fruit to give contrast. Acidity provides a chalky, mineral note, with lingering wood spice to finish.
