A reserve release that has only been produced in 2015 and 2016 to date, and you can see why 2021 was picked as a year to release it. This is a wine of tension and power that excites now, but will have a storied life ahead of it.
The nose gives nectarine, lemon pith and grapefruit with flint and a suggestion of spice a background accompaniment. The energy on the palate is incredible, tightly coiled citrus and stone fruits have tantalising lines of acidity and a masterful interjection of oak that gives fleeting spice. There is just enough mealy richness to give texture and structure to the more austere citrus and stone fruits. The length is long and precise.
