The variety takes its name from the Italian word 'pecora' which means sheep, this is due to the variety traditionally growing in the mountains of central Italy along a route where farmers would commonly take their sheep.
A light yellow in colour, the aromatics have a lovely intensity with cut flowers, and a touch of jasmine amongst citrus and pomegranite. The palate is medium bodied with ample fruit, whilst also enjoying racy lines of citrus acidity and a savoury pull of texture. The fruit tends to meyer lemon, with an interjection of jasmine to finish. Goood length and should evolve with some time.
