The Eden valley is well known for producing some of the best Riesling's in this country, however the quality of this Pinot Gris shows how adaptable the region is to the later ripening varieties.
The nose is a heady mix of white flowers, pear and freshly cut red apple, the palate has opulence and presence but maintains elegance with a fine line of acidity keeping things fresh and moving. The wine finishes with candied pear and apple with an ever so faint suggestion of meyer lemon.
An excellent first release, with plenty of enjoyment to be had in the warmer months.
