2017 Gundog Estate The Chase Semillon

Sourced from a number of old vine Semillon vineyards in the Hunter with the majority of the wine coming from the Somerset vineyard.

A nose that gives lime and green apple with some floral notes influencing from the background. The balance between mineral, citrus laced acidity and fuller lime juice is impressive. The generosity of lime fruit is quelled by taut green apple fruit before a return of the tantalising acidity that frames excellent length to finish that best resembles citrus juice and crushed rock in terms of flavour.
